Waivers of tuition and fees for eligible students at the University of Maine System.

This bill requires the University of Maine System to award waivers of tuition and fees to eligible students enrolled full-time at any University of Maine System campus. Eligible students must be Federal Pell Grant-eligible, have resided in Maine for 12 continuous months before acceptance, and maintain a 2.0 GPA. The waiver amount is limited to the difference between tuition and fees and the sum of the Pell Grant and other aid, excluding merit-based scholarships. The availability of the waiver is contingent on funding.
