Directs the Maine Prescription Drug Affordability Board to assess strategies to reduce prescription drug costs and to take steps to implement reference-based pricing. The board must assess strategies to reduce the cost of prescription drugs, reduce the rate of growth in prescription drug spending, and reduce cost barriers for consumers. The board must also assess the feasibility of implementing reference-based pricing for the first drugs negotiated under the Medicare drug price negotiation program.
