This bill defines "military protective order" as a protection order issued by a military commanding officer against a person under their command. It allows military protective orders to be used in protection from abuse and harassment hearings. The bill also allows courts to consider military protective orders as good cause for entering temporary orders to protect plaintiffs or minor children from abuse. The bill amends relevant sections of the Maine Revised Statutes to include military protective orders as a recognized form of protection.
