An Act to Allow Employees to Request Flexible Work Schedules

Failed·4/29/26
Tpdf Text

Allows employees to request flexible work schedules and prohibits employer retaliation.

This bill allows employees to request flexible work schedules in writing, including electronically. Employers must consider these requests, but are not required to grant them unless they do not conflict with business operations. If granted, employers and employees must mutually agree on the schedule's duration and terms. Employers can rescind these schedules with reasonable notice if necessary. The bill prohibits employer retaliation against employees for exercising these rights and allows collective bargaining agreements to provide more expansive rights.
