Tpdf Text

Removes requirement for employees to schedule leave to prevent undue hardship on employer.

This bill amends the Maine Paid Family and Medical Leave Benefits Program to remove the requirement that leave must be scheduled to prevent undue hardship on the employer. Previously, employees had to give reasonable notice to their supervisor for leave, except in emergencies, illnesses, or other sudden necessities. The change allows for more flexibility in when employees can take leave without needing to schedule it to avoid hardship on the employer.
