This bill modifies Maine's health insurance market by altering pooled market and clear choice design provisions.

This bill amends Maine's Insurance Code to modify provisions governing the pooled market and clear choice design for health plans. It eliminates the requirement for health insurance carriers to make individual health plans available to all eligible small employers and small group health plans available to all eligible individuals. The bill also removes the requirement for premium rate adjustments for health plans issued on a non-calendar year basis.
