Maine LD467 would require the state to cover Medicare Part B premiums for certain retired state employees.

Maine LD467 would require the state to pay 100% of the premiums for Medicare Part B for certain retired state employees. This applies to retirees who are not eligible for benefits under the Social Security Act and whose base annual state pension benefit on or after January 1, 2026 is projected to be less than or equal to the maximum amount of the retirement benefits that is subject to the cost-of-living adjustment.
