Establishes a grant program to support postsecondary education for students with intellectual or developmental disabilities or autism spectrum.
This bill creates the Inclusive Higher Education Grant Program in the Department of Education to enhance postsecondary educational opportunities for students with intellectual or developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. The program awards competitive grants to institutions of higher education to develop and implement inclusive higher education plans. These plans must offer students with disabilities the same rights, privileges, experiences, benefits, and outcomes as students without disabilities.
