Maine LD422 would require state approval from municipalities before placing noncitizens within their boundaries.

Maine LD422 would prohibit the State from placing noncitizens within a municipality without the municipality's prior authorization. The bill allows municipalities to limit the number of noncitizens the State places within their jurisdiction. The definition of "noncitizen" aligns with Title 22, section 4099-I, subsection 1, paragraph E.
