This bill modifies the definition of "transient occupancy" to allow occupancy not exceeding 150 days in a calendar year.

This bill amends the Maine Land Use Planning Commission laws to redefine "transient occupancy" as occupancy not exceeding 150 days in a calendar year, up from the current 120 days. The change aims to accommodate longer stays for outdoor recreation activities, including camping. The bill was enacted as an emergency measure to take effect immediately, aligning with the start of the recreational camping season.
