This bill allows political parties to decide how their primary elections are conducted at their biennial state conventions between March 1st and August 1st. Parties can choose ranked-choice voting or another method, which must be incorporated into their rules. The party's state committee must notify the Secretary of State of their chosen method by October 1st of the year before the primary. The primary election must be held on the second Tuesday of June and is considered a separate election for each party.
