This bill modifies Maine's income tax brackets and rates for individuals filing married joint returns, heads of households, and single filers starting in 2026. It increases the income thresholds for each tax bracket and introduces new tax rates of 7.52%, 7.15%, and 8.2% in the higher brackets. The tax brackets are indexed to the Chained Consumer Price Index to account for inflation.
