Extends conservation easement protections to all lands on Sears Island not under permanent buffer conservation easement.

The bill mandates the Maine Department of Transportation, in collaboration with the Maine Coast Heritage Trust, to extend conservation easement protections to all lands on Sears Island not currently under a permanent buffer conservation easement. These lands, referred to as the "Transportation Parcel," must be under the same restrictions as the existing adjacent conservation easement areas and managed together by the land management entity appointed by the conservation easement holder.
