Increases the debt limit of the West Paris Water District to fund necessary water infrastructure improvements.

This bill raises the borrowing limit of the West Paris Water District from $1,000,000 to $8,000,000 to allow for the replacement of a water storage tank by December 31, 2027, as mandated by the Maine drinking water program. The increased borrowing capacity is necessary to cover the costs of acquiring properties, laying pipes, constructing, and maintaining the water plant or system. The district can issue bonds, notes, or other evidences of indebtedness without the vote of its inhabitants.
