Municipalities to adopt regionalized code enforcement approaches; pilot project to study effects.

This bill implements recommendations to address regulatory barriers to housing construction. It adds the International Code Council and Modular Building Institute 1200-2021 Standard for Off-site Construction to the Maine Uniform Building and Energy Code. The bill also establishes consistency for when updates to the Maine Uniform Building and Energy Code go into effect. It amends the training requirements for code enforcement officers to include training on industrialized housing.
