LD2215

Amends laws on nonwater-dependent floating structures in Maine waters, including definitions and regulations.

This bill modifies Maine's statutes concerning nonwater-dependent floating structures, which are structures that do not require water for their primary function. It updates definitions, including replacing "internal waters" with "waters of this State" and "coastal waters" with "territorial waters." The bill also changes regulations for homemade watercraft, requiring them to meet visibility standards. It allows owners of existing nonwater-dependent floating structures to apply for leases to continue operating them.
