Automatic renewal of student transfer agreements except in specific circumstances.
This bill changes the law to automatically renew student transfer agreements unless the superintendent determines irregular attendance, disruptive behavior, lack of effort, or that the transfer is no longer in the student's best interest. Previously, superintendents had to annually review these transfers. If a transfer is discontinued, the superintendent must notify the student and parent, and a review can be requested by the parent.
