LD2146

An Act to Increase Access to Critical Vaccinations

Complete·4/13/26

Maine LD2146 increases access to critical vaccinations by authorizing state funding for vaccines not covered by federal programs.

Maine LD2146 amends state law to enhance access to critical vaccinations. The Maine Vaccine Board is required to consider vaccines recommended by the Department of Health and Human Services or the Northeast Public Health Collaborative when determining which vaccines to include in the Universal Immunization Program. If federal funding is insufficient for certain vaccines under the Vaccines for Children Program, the board can request state funding to cover the costs.
