Maine LD2086 amends the law to require the Governor to set salaries for majors in the Maine State Police.
Maine LD2086 changes the law to mandate that the Governor sets the salaries of majors in the Department of Public Safety, Maine State Police. Previously, the Governor only determined the salaries of the chief and deputy chief, while other members' compensation was set under the Civil Service Law.
