Maine LD2080 prohibits the use of credit cards for sports wagering and internet gaming.
Maine LD2080 amends the Maine Revised Statutes to specify the methods of payment for sports wagers, prohibiting the use of credit cards. The bill allows for online and mobile payment systems, debit cards, digital wallets, prepaid cards, bank wires, cash, and other methods approved by the director. It also mandates that facility operators verify the identity and age of individuals placing wagers, ensure no credit cards are used, and refund wagers made by prohibited individuals.
