This bill modifies the reporting requirements for residential buildings in Maine, focusing on municipalities with 4,000 or more residents.

This bill amends the laws governing municipal reporting on residential buildings in Maine. It requires municipalities with 4,000 or more residents to annually report specific housing data to the Maine Office of Community Affairs by March 31st. The report must include details on residential units approved through building permits, categorized by type, and the number of units affordable to low- and moderate-income families. The office is also directed to encourage smaller municipalities to report similar information.
