Maine LD2067 would include Community Mental Health Workers under the 1998 Special Plan for Retirement.

Maine LD2067 would amend the 1998 Special Plan for Retirement under the Maine Public Employees Retirement System. It would include Community Mental Health Workers employed by the Department of Health and Human Services on October 1, 2025 or later who provide crisis outreach and crisis services to adults with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities in a community-based or residential setting. These workers must have the job classification of Community Response Worker as of July 1, 2021 and previously held the job classification of Mental Health Worker III.
