Allows Maine State Housing Authority to make construction loans for affordable housing without escrow agent.
This bill amends Maine law to allow the Maine State Housing Authority to make construction loans for the rehabilitation or development of additional home sites in privately owned or cooperative-owned manufactured housing communities and mobile home parks. It also allows the authority to make whole construction loans without using an escrow agent if the project requires automatic federal low-income housing tax credits.
