This resolve directs the Maine Education Policy Research Institute to survey and analyze the use of technology in classrooms, focusing on safety policies and procedures. The survey will cover topics such as average instruction time spent on technology devices, safeguards for new technology products, and adherence to privacy laws. The Institute must submit a report by December 1, 2026, with recommendations for the Department of Education and suggested legislation.
