LD2040

Maine LD2040 mandates an annual survey on food insecurity and a report to study measures in Maine.

Maine LD2040 directs the Commissioner of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry to conduct an annual survey on food insecurity in Maine, in partnership with outside agencies or other state agencies as necessary. The survey will include measurements of disparities in food insecurity across various social subgroups, such as age, geography, income, race, and veteran status. The commissioner must regularly publish a report based on the survey findings, guided by the commissioner's advisory committee.
