LD1976

Legislative review of a late-filed major substantive rule on compensation for impacts to high-value agricultural land from solar energy development.

This resolve records the Legislature's position on the final adoption of Chapter 379, a major substantive rule of the Department of Environmental Protection. The rule, which addresses compensation for impacts to high-value agricultural land from solar energy development, was filed outside the legislative rule acceptance period. The resolve authorizes the provisional adoption of the rule and highlights the emergency nature of the legislation for the preservation of public peace, health, and safety.
