Clarifies and updates laws on the licensure of health care facilities and the Maine Registry of Certified Nursing Assistants and Direct Care Workers.

This bill amends the Maine Revised Statutes to clarify and update regulations on the licensure of health care facilities and the Maine Registry of Certified Nursing Assistants and Direct Care Workers. It modifies the conditions under which conditional licenses may be issued to personal care agencies and other facilities. The bill expands the definition of "sentinel event" to include more types of serious and preventable incidents in health care facilities.
