Expands the Maine Unfair Trade Practices Act to allow broader private remedies for consumers.

This bill amends the Maine Unfair Trade Practices Act to allow any person who suffers a loss of money or property due to an unlawful method, act, or practice to pursue private remedies. Previously, only those who purchased or leased goods, services, or property for personal, family, or household purposes could do so. The bill also allows for actions in either Superior Court or District Court and maintains the right to a jury trial in Superior Court.
