Maine LD1935 amends the Maine Revised Statutes to increase the maximum fine for licensing violations and certain code violations related to well drilling from $1,000 to $25,000. It also classifies unlicensed drilling of water wells or geothermal heat exchange wells as a Class D crime. The bill applies to individuals, companies, firms, partnerships, and corporations, except for apprentice well drillers or pump installers.
