Failed·6/13/25
Tpdf Text

Maine LD1928 prohibits lodging establishments from providing personal health or beauty products in small single-use plastic containers.

Maine LD1928 aims to reduce plastic waste by prohibiting lodging establishments from providing personal health or beauty products in small single-use plastic containers. The bill defines "lodging establishment" to include hotels, motels, resorts, and short-term rentals, but excludes hospitals, nursing homes, and other specified facilities. Beginning January 1, 2030, lodging establishments with more than a certain number of lodging units must comply with this prohibition. Exemptions apply to stand-alone cabins, cottages, or apartments on a single parcel of land.
