Automatically seals criminal history record information for Class D and E marijuana possession and cultivation convictions.

The bill mandates the automatic sealing of criminal history record information for eligible convictions related to marijuana possession and cultivation committed between January 1, 2001, and January 30, 2017. The Department of Public Safety, Bureau of State Police, State Bureau of Identification reviews criminal history record information monthly to determine if it qualifies for automatic sealing. If a conviction qualifies, the bureau transfers the information to the Administrative Office of the Courts, which submits it to the relevant court.
