This bill establishes a managed care program for MaineCare services in Maine. The Department of Health and Human Services is tasked with issuing a request for proposals to select managed care organizations (MCOs) to operate the program. The selected MCOs must be capable of coordinating and facilitating access to all covered MaineCare services, including physical health, prescription, dental, and behavioral health services. The department will establish a five-year contract with each selected MCO, with the possibility of one-year renewals and extensions to cover transition delays.
