An Act to Protect Domestic Workers establishes occupational health and safety standards for domestic workers by directing the Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Standards to adopt rules regulating the employment of domestic workers. The bill requires employers and employees to sign an employment contract and stipulates the rest breaks required for domestic workers and limitations on work hours. Employers must allow domestic workers an uninterrupted paid rest period of not less than 10 minutes for each consecutive hours worked.
