LD1754

Allows distilleries and spirits manufacturers to directly ship spirits to consumers in Maine, with licensing and reporting requirements.

This bill allows distilleries, small distilleries, rectifiers, and out-of-state spirits manufacturers to ship their products directly to consumers in Maine, similar to how wineries ship wine. Direct shippers must obtain a license from the Bureau of Alcoholic Beverages and Lottery Operations and adhere to shipping limits and reporting requirements. They can use registered fulfillment providers for shipping.
