This bill repeals and replaces the Charter of the Yarmouth Water District, subject to voter approval. The Yarmouth Water District is authorized to supply water for domestic, agricultural, commercial, industrial, sanitary, and municipal purposes. The district can acquire land, water rights, and other property necessary for its operations. It can also borrow money, issue bonds, and establish a sinking fund for debt repayment. The district is governed by a board of trustees elected by voters from the Towns of Yarmouth and North Yarmouth.
