Failed·5/21/25
Tpdf Text

Restores religious exemptions to immunization requirements for students and health care practitioners in Maine.

This bill reinstates exemptions from immunization requirements based on a sincere religious belief for students in elementary, secondary and postsecondary schools and employees of nursery schools. It also provides the same exemption to health care practitioners. The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the Department of Education will amend their rules to accommodate these religious exemptions.
