An Act Regarding Superintendent Agreements for Transfer Students
An Act Regarding Superintendent Agreements for Transfer Students modifies the process for transferring students between school administrative units in Maine. It specifies that a student's parent may request a transfer for the current school year at any time, but not before April 15th for the following school year. Both superintendents must approve the transfer, and if one denies it, the commissioner reviews the decision. If both superintendents deny the request, only the commissioner reviews it.
