Maine LD1700 amends the Maine Clean Energy and Sustainability Accelerator to allow it to provide capital to qualified projects in the form of direct loans. The Efficiency Maine Trust is directed to establish and administer a renewable energy generation and grid technology pilot project through the accelerator. The pilot project must provide financing and investment services for renewable energy generation and grid technology, including microgrids and smart grid applications.
