Complete·6/25/25

Maine LD1687 clarifies and increases access to HIV prevention medications by allowing pharmacists to dispense and administer them.

Maine LD1687 clarifies that pharmacists can dispense HIV preventive oral medication and injectable medication of any duration under certain conditions. The bill allows pharmacists to bill insurance carriers directly for services and mandates that carriers reimburse pharmacists at the same rate as physicians for equivalent services.
