Expands Maine's Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife outdoor education programs to schools and communities.
The bill allows the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife to conduct educational programs at locations owned by third parties through leases or partnerships. It also enables collaboration with the Department of Education to develop a curriculum for these programs, which can count as secondary school instruction. Secondary schools can participate in these programs, which may be held at third-party locations, the school, or a school administrative unit facility.
