Tpdf Text

Maine LD153 would prohibit unauthorized mooring of watercraft and establish penalties.

Maine LD153 would prohibit a person from securing a watercraft to a mooring without permission from the owner or lessee. A person who violates this prohibition commits a Class E crime if they refuse to release a watercraft upon request, leave a watercraft unattended, or damage the mooring. The bill also establishes that the owner or lessee is not liable for damages from unauthorized use of the mooring.
