LD1478

Amends baitfish wholesaler's license regulations to allow unlicensed assistance, restrict sucker sales, and mandate ice hole marking.

This bill modifies the rules for baitfish wholesaler's licenses in Maine. It permits license holders to employ up to unlicensed individuals for tasks like setting traps and checking nets, provided they are directly supervised. The bill also restricts the sale of suckers over a certain length during specific months. Additionally, it mandates that holes made in ice for baitfish harvesting be marked with evergreen boughs or fluorescent biodegradable tape to prevent accidents.
