Tpdf Text

Maine LD1455 aims to prevent illegal cannabis growing operations by amending cannabis-related laws.

Maine LD1455 amends the Maine Medical Use of Cannabis Act and the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 28-B to redefine "disqualifying drug offense" to include cannabis cultivation or distribution convictions occurring after October 1, 2025. It prohibits the Department of Administrative and Financial Services from registering or issuing a registration certificate for cannabis to a facility or person if their physical location is under investigation for illegal cannabis activities or was used by a convicted person for such activities.
