LD144

Establishes a limited retail seafood harvester certificate for selling shellstock from one vehicle.

This bill creates a limited retail seafood harvester certificate, which may be attached to a retail seafood license. This certificate allows the holder to sell shellstock taken from only one vehicle identified on the holder's license. The certificate is available for a fee of $100, which must be deposited in the Shellfish Fund. The commissioner or the commissioner's agent may access the vehicle for inspection or sample collection, and denial of access can lead to suspension or revocation of the retail seafood license.
