An Act Regarding the Transfer of Moose Permits to Disabled Veterans

Allows moose permit transfers to disabled veterans by certain organizations and individuals.

This bill amends moose permit transfer laws to allow nonprofit veteran aid organizations, their employees and volunteers, and registered Maine guides to transfer their permits to disabled veterans. The bill specifies that these transfers are subject to certain eligibility and permit requirements. After a transfer, the transferring entity or individual can apply for a new permit the following year and start accumulating points for the public chance drawing.
