Maine LD1393 mandates annual continuing education for licensed architects to maintain their license.

Maine LD1393 requires licensed architects to complete continuing education annually in health, safety, and welfare, as established by the Maine State Board for Licensure of Architects, Landscape Architects and Interior Designers. The education must include a minimum of health, safety, and welfare credits. Retired architects are exempt from this requirement. Architects with an initial license from any jurisdiction, including foreign ones, are exempt for up to two years from the issuance date.
