This resolve directs the Department of Public Safety, in conjunction with the Department of Transportation, to review motor vehicle accidents involving pedestrians over the past years. The review will examine factors such as accident location, roadway type, traffic patterns, driver visibility, road and weather conditions, driver attention, vehicle type, and frequent accident locations. The Department of Public Safety must submit a report with findings and recommended legislation to the Joint Standing Committee by December 3, 2025.
