LD1258

Expands eligibility for electric vehicle incentives to include out-of-state providers and clarifies criteria for electric bicycle incentives.

This bill modifies the Electric Vehicle Fund incentive program to allow electric vehicles to be purchased or leased from out-of-state authorized licensees of the original equipment manufacturer or licensed automobile dealers. It aims to increase the use of eligible electric vehicles in the state to advance carbon reduction targets and reduce transportation-related energy costs. The bill also clarifies that electric bicycles can qualify for incentives if they serve as the recipient's principal means of commuting.
