Maine LD1255 ensures in-state tuition for postsecondary students registered to vote in Maine and amends eligibility for the Free Community College.

Maine LD1255 establishes that students registered to vote in Maine are eligible for in-state tuition rates at any postsecondary institution in the state. It also modifies the eligibility criteria for the Free Community College Tuition Program, requiring students to be high school graduates from Maine or to have resided in the state for a certain period before enrolling in a Maine community college.
