Expands eligibility for the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program to include those with associate or bachelor's degrees.
This bill amends the Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program to include nurses with outstanding education loans for associate or bachelor's degrees, in addition to master's or doctoral degrees. The Finance Authority of Maine will repay up to $20,000 for full-time nurses and up to $10,000 for part-time nurses with associate or bachelor's degrees. The authority may also repay up to $40,000 for full-time doctoral degree holders and up to $20,000 for part-time doctoral degree holders.
